Ratatouille 2 (2025) returns to the bustling streets of Paris, picking up where the beloved original left off. Remy, the ambitious rat with a passion for fine cuisine, is now a renowned chef in Gusteau’s restaurant, following his success from the first film. But his new life in the culinary spotlight is not as perfect as it seems. Amid growing fame, Remy struggles to balance his responsibilities as head chef with his deep love for cooking. Enter Luli, an adventurous young rat from the countryside, who dreams of joining the culinary world but doesn’t quite understand its demanding nature. Remy, now a mentor, must help Luli navigate this new, exciting world while contending with his own fears about failure and change. As they join forces, the duo must work together to prepare for the biggest culinary showdown Paris has ever seen, all while facing their own doubts, growing pains, and unspoken fears.

As old and new friends, like Linguini and Colette, return to support them, Ratatouille 2 explores themes of ambition, teamwork, and finding your true passion, even when everything seems stacked against you.

Acting (Voice Performances):
Patton Oswalt returns to voice Remy, bringing the same heart and determination that made the character so endearing. His portrayal is even more nuanced as Remy grapples with his newfound responsibilities and the pressure of maintaining his success. Lou Romano is back as the lovable Linguini, offering a warm and comedic presence as he continues his journey as Remy’s friend and partner.

The new addition of Luli, voiced by Awkwafina, brings a fresh energy to the film. Luli is quirky, optimistic, and fiercely determined—an ideal foil to Remy’s experienced, albeit slightly jaded, character. Colette, voiced by Janeane Garofalo, also makes a return, offering guidance to Remy while dealing with her own challenges in the kitchen. The chemistry between the returning and new cast members is fantastic, adding depth and warmth to the film’s narrative.
