Jurassic World is a 2015 American science fiction action film directed by Colin Trevorrow, co-written by Rick Jaffa, Amanda Silver, and Derek Connolly. It is the first installment in the Jurassic World series and the fourth overall in the Jurassic Park film series. The film stars Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Vincent D’Onofrio, Ty Simpkins, Nick Robinson, Omar Sy, BD Wong, and Irrfan Khan. Set 22 years after the events of Jurassic Park, Jurassic World takes place on the fictional island of Isla Nublar, Costa Rica. The park is a successful theme park of cloned dinosaurs, but chaos ensues when a transgenic dinosaur escapes its enclosure and goes on a rampage. A conspiracy orchestrated by the park’s staff adds more dangers. The film follows the adventures of brothers Zach and Gray Mitchell, who visit Jurassic World during winter break. Meanwhile, Navy veteran and ethologist Owen Grady trains a Velociraptor squad on the island, which the head of InGen security, Vic Hoskins, believes can be weaponized.

Before the opening of Jurassic Park, Claire and park owner Simon Masrani inspect the park’s new attraction, the Indominus Rex, a transgenic dinosaur created by geneticist Dr. Henry Wu. Owen warns Claire that the Indominus lacks social skills, making it dangerous and unpredictable. When the Indominus escapes, it kills two park workers but Owen manages to survive. Masrani orders the evacuation of the island’s northern sector while addressing Owen’s warning.

While exploring the park, Zach and Gray enter a restricted area, where the Indominus destroys their vehicle. They find the ruins of the original visitor center and repair an old Jeep Wrangler before driving back to the park resort. As they search for the boys, they barely escape the Indominus. Masrani and two soldiers hunt it down by helicopter, but it breaks into the park’s aviary, causing the Pteranodons and Dimorphodons to flee and crash into Masrani’s helicopter. The escaped pterosaurs attack everyone, including Zara, who is devoured by a Mosasaurus.

Hoskins assumes command and orders the raptors to be used to track the Indominus. Owen reluctantly complies and spearheads the assault with the raptors. The dinosaurs begin communicating among themselves, and Owen realizes the Indominus has Velociraptor DNA, usurping his command of the raptors. Soldiers fire on the Indominus, but it escapes. Hoskins evacuates Dr. Wu and the dinosaur embryos from the island to protect his research. Owen, Claire, and the boys find Hoskins at the lab securing more embryos, but Delta breaks in and kills him.

Owen restores his bond with the three surviving raptors before the Indominus reappears. The dinosaurs attack each other, and the Indominus eventually overpowers the Tyrannosaurus. Blue recovers and joins the battle. The survivors are evacuated, and the island is abandoned once again.
