Young Guns (1988)

Set in 1878 New Mexico, the film follows a group of young gunmen, known as the Regulators, who work under the mentorship of English rancher John Tunstall (Terence Stamp).
When Tunstall is murdered by corrupt rivals, the Regulators, led by the unpredictable and charismatic Billy the Kid (Estevez), embark on a path of vengeance. What starts as an effort to bring justice quickly spirals into a full-blown outlaw war, as Billyโs reckless nature turns the group into wanted fugitives.
With a mix of thrilling shootouts, camaraderie, and historical inspiration, Young Guns revitalized the Western genre for a new generation.
Estevezโs wild, unpredictable take on Billy the Kid makes him one of the most entertaining versions of the legendary outlaw, while the filmโs youthful energy, rock-and-roll attitude, and memorable one-liners cement its status as a fan favorite.
