Plot Overview

Summoned to Earth by Nazis during World War II but rescued by Allied forces, Hellboy grows up under the care of Professor Bruttenholm, founder of the Bureau for Paranormal Research and Defense (B.P.R.D.). Now an adult, Hellboy uses his superhuman strength, rapid healing, and massive “Right Hand of Doom” to battle dark creatures that threaten humanity.

The story follows Hellboy and his B.P.R.D. allies—pyrokinetic Liz Sherman (Selma Blair) and aquatic empath Abe Sapien (Doug Jones)—as they face off against Rasputin and his mystical forces attempting to bring about the apocalypse.
