COCO 2 (2025)

Pixar’s Coco 2 returns us to the vibrant world of music, memory, and family. Set several years after Miguel’s first journey to the Land of the Dead, the sequel explores his teenage years as he balances his love for music with the weight of his family’s legacy.

When an ancient Day of the Dead tradition is disrupted, Miguel discovers a hidden path leading to a forgotten realm—La Tierra del Olvido (The Land of the Forgotten), where souls fade when no one remembers them. To save this realm, Miguel must carry the torch of remembrance further than ever before, learning that family ties extend beyond memory, into legacy and love.

The film’s central theme expands beautifully: “Memory may fade, but love remains eternal.”

The music soars higher than ever, blending Mexican folk traditions with modern cinematic scoring. The new original songs carry emotional weight, with one standout ballad echoing the power of “Remember Me.”

Visually, Pixar outdoes itself: glowing bridges of fading marigolds, surreal dreamlike settings in the Forgotten Land, and breathtaking festival sequences. The animation captures both the dazzling colors of celebration and the intimate shadows of memory.
