The Incredible Hulk

The Incredible Hulk (2008) is a superhero film directed by Louis Leterrier and produced by Marvel Studios. It serves as a reboot of the Hulk franchise and the second installment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). The film stars Edward Norton as Bruce Banner, a scientist on the run from the U.S. military after an experiment with gamma radiation turns him into the Hulk, a giant green monster fueled by rage.

The story begins with Bruce Banner hiding in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, where he works at a bottling factory while searching for a cure to his condition. He communicates with a mysterious online contact known as “Mr. Blue” and practices meditation to control his transformations. However, an accidental contamination of his blood leads the military, led by General Thaddeus Ross (William Hurt), to track him down. Ross sends Emil Blonsky (Tim Roth), a skilled soldier, to capture Banner. After a confrontation, Blonsky becomes obsessed with the Hulk’s power and volunteers for an experimental serum that enhances his abilities but begins to distort his body and mind.

Banner returns to the United States and reunites with his former love, Betty Ross (Liv Tyler), but their reunion is short-lived as Blonsky, now transformed into the monstrous Abomination, rampages through Harlem. Banner must embrace his alter ego to stop Blonsky, leading to a climactic battle that tests his control over the Hulk. The film ends with Banner in Bella Coola, British Columbia, attempting to master his transformations, and a post-credits scene teasing the formation of the Avengers.
