With over a decade under its belt, The Conjuring 4 will bring an end to the core horror franchise, and the release date has now been revealed for the fourquel. 
Although plot details remain unknown, the final installment of the franchise will see the return of Vera Farmiga, Patrick Wilson, Lorraine and Ed Warren, the iconic paranormal investigators who have served as a common thread for the majority of the interconnected universe . 
The Conjuring 4 will also see Michael Chaves, who directed the previous film and The Nun II, return to the director’s chair from a script by fellow franchise veteran David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick. 
Variety announced that Warner Bros. had set The Conjuring 4 to release in theaters on September 5, 2025. The news also came as the studio also announced that Maggie Gyllenhaal’s Frankenstein adaptation, The Bride, would move forward a week and now be released in theaters .
